Aromas: Bright lemon citrus & curd and honeysuckle floral notes. A hint of spice and pie crust. Delicate richness on the nose.

Flavors: Juicy fresh pineapple, nectarine and crisp Fuji apple. A touch of baking spice adds weight to the palate. Crisp and creamy finish.

Pairings: Picture a glass of dough Chardonnay alongside the perfect cheese board: local artisan goat cheeses, a wedge of Manchego, fresh-baked crostini, Marcona almonds and a pot of fig jam.

This wine is mostly barrel fermented. French oak aged with a smaller percentage of stainless steel fermented parcels which capture bright fruit and acid.

The North Coast AVA encompasses six Northern California winegrowing counties—including Napa and Mendocino—each defined by cooling wind and fog influence from the Pacific Ocean.

ABV: 14.5%

Dough is the first ever wine collaboration for the James Beard Foundation, and leading our winemaking is Heidi Bridenhagen, who has received over 200 90-point scores at MacRostie Winery. Heidi crafted the wines in concert with a diverse group of chefs and beverage professionals, all alumni of the Foundation’s Impact Programs, to create the most food-friendly wines possible.

Dough is the foundation of bread, signifying new beginnings. Like making bread, thoughtful nurturing creates positive change that rises from the simplest of actions. We support the James Beard Foundation’s work to create an inclusive, equitable and sustainable food culture through an annual donation. As a brand, we support positive changes to the culinary arts and beverages professions. Each glass, bottle and conversation can make an impact, and become a catalyst for good.
