A dry and brisk wine, typical of Chablis. Brilliant yellow-green colour. The aromas are reminiscent of lemon, citrus, asparagus. On the palate, the first sip offers its clear-cut and fresh impression, with a nice texture. Long on the aftertaste, with fruity as well as mineral flavours; becomes slightly honeyed when the wine is more evolved.
2018 - 90pts Decanter
"This blend of four premier cru sites located on either side of the Serein River was vinified separately then assembled later. While Drouhin does not own as much Chablis vineyards as Bichot at Long-Depaquit, they own 6.7ha of prime vineyards including four grand crus. There is wonderful salinity and tension in this wine with surprising freshness given the warm growing conditions. The finish is lingering, leaving behind a taste of fresh soft, green seaweed. Aged in stainless steel tanks for 8 months."
