Our Pét tanNat is a distinctive pét nat crafted exclusively from our Estate Tannat, this naturally bottle-fermented sparkling wine is made in the ultra-brut style — the driest of the dry. Richly flavored and complex with just that touch of rustic, authentic charm that defines pétillant natural.

Troon Vineyard is a Biodynamic® Certified regenerative organic farm in Oregon’s Applegate Valley. We naturally craft wines to bring pleasure to your life. All Troon wines are made from Biodynamic grapes spontaneously fermented with indigenous yeasts and no additives of any kind. Our Pét tanNat is a distinctive pét-nat crafted exclusively from our Estate Tannat. This naturally bottle-fermented sparkling wine is made in the ultra-brut style — the driest of the dry. It is a richly flavored yet elegant style of pétillant natural that will remind many of Brut Nature Blanc de Noir Champagne with its toasty, yeast influenced personality and expressive fruit character, but with just that touch of rustic, authentic charm that defines pétillant natural. This our second vintage of this sparkling wine and we let the fruit get a bit riper this vintage, which resulted in a wine of greater richness and texture. We whole-cluster pressed our Estate Tannat into a stainless steel tank, where it began a native yeast fermentation. Just before that fermentation was complete, we quickly bottled the new wine under crown cap to finish fermentation in the bottle. Our Pét tanNat is disgorged, so has less sediment than many pétillant natural wines, but there are few tartrate crystals, as you would expect from naturally bottle-fermented wine made from red grapes.Troon Vineyard is located on the Kubli Bench, high above the Applegate River in the Siskiyou Mountains of Southern Oregon. It is a biodiverse farm of almost 100 acres. Life on our farm includes apples, a vegetable garden, re-wilded honeybees, sheep, chickens, wildlife, humans and, of course, grapevines.

Wine Vintages, Bottle Labels, ABV, Ratings, & more

If an item does not have the vintage in the title/item name, we do not guarantee a specific vintage unless we explicitly advertise that vintage for sale. Additionally, the pictures of products on our website are for visual/informational purposes and do not necessarily indicate the current vintage(s) or labels available.

While the product images depict the intended product, label designs and packaging may be altered by the producer/manufacturer at any time. We do not guarantee a specific label or bottle design when you order.

The Alcohol By Volume / ABV percentage reported is meant to be a general guideline given fluctuations in production, sometimes ABV is reported as a range (ex. 12.5% - 13.5%), etc.

Wines labeled as "highly rated" are wines that at some point, including prior vintages, received excellent reviews and scores/points from established critics (and we do our best to report the specific vintage reviewed in the product description notes). It is meant to indicate (as a general guide) that the wine producer received accolades for that product for convenient filtering when browsing and searching.

Dietary Claims, Ingredients, & Other Product Attributes

We make every effort to accurately describe the wines we sell, including any claims made by the wineries regarding the wine's ingredients, additives, or production methods. However, we cannot independently verify the accuracy of these claims. When wineries label their wines as "low sugar," "gluten free," "low sulfites," or any other claim, we rely on the information provided to us and simply label the wines as we are told. Therefore, we cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies or omissions in these claims. It is always recommended that customers consult with their healthcare professional if they have any concerns or questions about the ingredients in the wines they are purchasing.
