    The wine's hallmark notes leap out of the glass: earthy, mushroom, leather, blueberry, and blackcurrant jam. The flavor is equally rich and smooth, with notes of blue and black currants, some herbs, and mild pepper. The wine has remarkable length and balance. Chris Ringland, one of the most renowned Australian enologists, teamed up with the legendary Gil Family of Spain to make this one of a kind wine. 
    Clio is full-bodied yet not overpowering, with silky tannins, concentration and an extremely long finish. This Spanish red is uniquely smooth, while at the same time structured.
    Clio has been rated 91-97 points for the past 13 consecutive years by acclaimed wine critics. The vineyards of Bodegas El Nido include 12Ha (29.7 acres) of Cabernet Sauvignon and 32Ha (79 acres) of very old Monastrell, with a very low yield. The grapes are harvested in small baskets to prevent bruising, and only the best bunches are selected. Fermented in stainless steel, aged in French oak for 24 months.
